I have been elected as Co-Entertainment Representative!

I’m excited to announce I have been elected as Co-Entertainment Representative for our final year in Psychology and Computing! I’m excited to organise fun events for my fellow BAPC students to enjoy during this academically demanding year!

My Plans:

As a college course entertainment representative in Cork City, the role involves organising various activities to foster a sense of community and provide entertainment for classmates. Key activities to arrange include:

1. Pub Quizzes and Trivia Nights

Cork has a lively pub scene, making pub quizzes and trivia nights a great way to bring students together. Hosting trivia events in local pubs, focused on general knowledge or specific themes, offers a fun and interactive way for classmates to bond outside of their academic lives.

2. Live Music and Open Mic Nights

Cork boasts a thriving live music culture, offering ample opportunities to arrange group outings to live performances. Visiting popular venues like Coughlan’s or The Crane Lane Theatre allows students to experience local talent. Additionally, organising open mic nights can provide a platform for students to showcase their talents in a relaxed and supportive environment.

6. Food and Drink Tastings

Cork’s culinary scene can be explored through food and drink tastings. Organising group visits to places like the English Market, local breweries, or distilleries such as Jameson offers an immersive experience into Cork’s food culture. These tastings and tours provide a perfect combination of socialising and cultural exploration.

Course Nights Out

Regular course nights out can be arranged, combining informal meet-ups at local pubs with themed board game nights or other group activities. These evenings provide an opportunity for students to relax and socialise in a more casual setting, helping to strengthen the sense of camaraderie within the course.

By organising a mix of cultural, social, and relaxed activities, the entertainment representative can create a dynamic and inclusive environment for their classmates.
